Khap Kun Karp

6/5/05 12 noon Thai timeReached Bangkok train station. Bought 'halal' food. Went to internet cafe to check out hotels and all. Wasn't being spontaneous great? Touts everywhere... Took bus (60 satang?) to Saladaeng BTS station. Took BTS (Bangkok Transit System) to Ratchathewi, coz Asia hotel is connected. Checked in, ate lunch, and bathed, coz hadn't bath for like 30hrs. Hotel was lousy, no kettle, no coffee/tea. Paid Bht1900 per nite for 3 person.

iChub
Below what I expected. Thot it's a 'full facility' club. It's a karaoke pub. Chubs sang Thai songs. Waiters (waitresses) were polite and friendly, tho they don't speak much Inglis. Fren wanted to sing, and asked me to be his backup. Sounds ok, since no one knows us, and it'd be great to make an ass of urself in some foreign land. But couldn't get our turn as the place closes at 1am. No DVD/VCD catalogs.

-------------------------

Babylon (not so very near from Malaysia Hotel)
Classy. Somewhere I'd go to chill out. Pretty boys. Fine dining in a towel. Live show featuring a black guy and a piano. Disco played techno. Dark rooms are really dark rooms. No chubs Imagine a 4 storey bungalow around Jln U-Thant with swimming pool, a large gym, fine dining area, small tea tables.

GSM (Cab to Chinatown)
Interesting. There's always a 'surprise' almost everywhere go. And you could get lost in there trying to find your way out, and along the path, you'll encounter many many fights. It's like the maze in Alice in Wonderland. You get in from here and you'll come out from some place else.

Daily Thai Massage
Had almost daily Thai reflexology massage. Paid Bht200 per hour, which is dirt cheap. And the smell of lemongrass kinda make me high and soothing.

-------------------------

Chatuchak Saturday market (BTS: Nakhon Sapom)
Very cheap and nice furnitures. Wished I could bring back home some. Bought sandals and tshirts. Too many people. And nice halal food at Clock Tower.

-------------------------

Gaysorn Plaza (BTS: Chit Lom)
Went to Bvlgari to compare the price of that ring with KL, and KL's cheaper by almost RM1k!!! Damn!!

Met dzeng and frens at the escalator.

-------------------------

Silom (BTS: Saladaeng)
Bought movie tshirts with cans. Good for those wanting to project the "i know this movie and love it" image. Bought 2 Battle Royale, 1 Godfather, 1 The Ring and 1 Star Wars (to be worn tonite for the Episode III). And also a lousy printout tshirt of 'Ghost In The Shell'.

-------------------------

Sukhomvit (BTS: Nana)
Ate halal food at Arab restaurant. Sedaps!!

9/5/05 Back to KL
Outcome: Lost 3kgs during the 4-day trip. Yeay!!!
